OUR STUDIOS

Bardel Entertainment is highly experienced in building creative facilities and operations.

Animation Studio

Bardel is one of the few studios in Canada to provide animation services in all of the major animation mediums - traditional, CG, Flash and Harmony. This unique capability follows Bardel's belief in selecting the most appealing medium for the story telling, and where necessary, developing efficient hybrid pipelines to take advantage of the best each software has to offer. Bardel also has strong relationships with studios within Canada and overseas, and is able to professionally maintain controls in the studio. Whether it's a feature film, television property, or animation for your gaming property, Bardel is able to offer quality animation at a competitive price.

Post-Production, Sound & Voice Record

Bardel Entertainment Inc. is fully equipped to handle all of the post-production needs in a project, from rough cut through to final delivery. It has both Avid Symphony and Avid Nitris suites HD-ready and in-house, as well as numerous HD-ready offline Avid suites, and is able to coordinate all post requirements, including QC checks, music, sound design and mix, dubbing, and English or French language versioning.

Recent expansions included a fully operational voice record studio. With a wide range of locally-based voice talent available, and close flight proximity to Los Angeles, Vancouver is an ideal location to record the voices for an animated program. The voice record studio is available as part of a production package, or as a standalone services agreement. Bardel can also arrange voice directing, casting, and voice talent contracting services.

Interactive Media

Bardel’s interactive media work began in the 1990s. Early credits included working on products such as Winnie the Pooh’s Learning Series and Buzz Lightyear Grade 1 and Grade 2 for Disney Interactive. The relationship with Disney grew with work on feature film games for The Emperor’s New Groove and Atlantis. Over time, Bardel's interactive media portfolio expanded with projects that included Def Jam Vendetta for Electronic Arts and So You Wanna Be A Dino Finder for Cloud 9 Interactive.

Today, Bardel has taken interactive media to the next level through its Kid Riot Digital division. Kid Riot Digital launched its first virtual environment in January 2010. This new virtual world and social networking site, TokiWorld, has attracted other organizations interested in either becoming TokiWorld partners or harnessing the knowledge and capabilities of the Kid Riot Digital team for service work on new interactive projects. Kid Riot Digital’s next interactive project, Appleton Park will launch later in 2010.

Distribution

The company's distribution arm, Bardel Distribution Inc., allows Bardel to distribute and invest in its proprietary productions and co-productions in Canada and around the world. This arm is responsible for television and home video distribution of its projects as well as arranging merchandising and licensing deals, including interactive.
